Provider Connect:

We do work with the Ontario Disability Support Program, Ontario Works, as well as provide options for refugees in Canada. If you do not see your insurance provider listed, please phone our office.

Routine Eye Exams

If you are older than 65 or younger than 20, the OHIP covers your routine eye exams once every 12 months, as well as follow-up assessments that are required. Insured individuals ages 20 to 64 can also receive a routine eye exam as recommended by your optometrist. Please contact your insurance company for coverage information.

If you have the following health conditions, you may be eligible for an OHIP insured eye exam. 

These include:

  • Diabetes mellitus 
  • Glaucoma 
  • Cataract 
  • Retinal disease
  • Amblyopia 
  • Visual field defects 
  • Corneal disease 
  • Strabismus 
  • Recurrent uveitis
  • Optic pathway disease
